The New Domestic landscape was the first major Italian
design and the most important one that exhibited
in the United States. Other exhibitions have been
occurred with the same purpose to present the Italian
style in deferent periods. In 1982 another important
exhibition occurred at the La Jolla Museum of Contemporary
Art in California making a review of Italian culture
and discovering new vision of the industrial design
in Italy. The exhibition focused on contemporary
aesthetics. A varieties of objects displayed covering
all aspects of Italian life. The unique document
of the exhibition was saved as a catalogue book
with some literary additions made by Piero Sartogo
who was the conceiver of this exhibition under title
Italian re evolution: design in Italian society
in the eighties. In fact Italian designers
presented their amazing activity in participating
in various international exhibitions since Sixties
up to the present time presenting individual achievements,
like: Achille Castiglioni, Carlo Scarpa, Eugenio
Quarti and Paolo Portoghesi. In 2004 and as a part
of the Milan treannale series the Premio Compasso
d’Oro (the Twentieth edition) presented
the great contribution of Italian design in fifty
years since 1945 up to the present. Promoted by
ADI Associazione per il Disegno Industriale andFondazione
ADI per il Design Italiano. About 600 candidate
and 25000 analyzed pieces. The exhibition was not
only aimed to review the history of the Italian
industrial design but also it was a valuate vision
to the future. Berlin, Chicago, Istanbul, Praga
and Tokyo were the cities who got the honor to host
this achievement]
